Creating a Winter Wonderland

The winter wonderland sprung from the need to fill a blank space along the route. Between the Polar Express and light show portions, there was a dark area that created a sense of separation and made the whole event feel disjointed. The head designers for the event created the idea of an arctic scene with various inflatable characters and some household snowflake projections. When the initial plans for the event were invalidated due to the necessity for staff and volunteer safety, this section of the route once again became a bit of a dark void. To spice things up, I decided to add a color wash and some movement to the otherwise ominous building. Another COLORado and a few Chauvet Intimidator moving spots worked wonders in filling the space and added a lot of color and movement to keep interest high as attendees moved into the headlining lightshow portion of the route.
